Shopify import fix

Shopify: Inventory quantity must be zero or greater

The import tried to set a negative stock number. Shopify accepts negative inventory only after the product exists and overselling is explicitly allowed.

How to fix it

  1. Set every inventory quantity to 0 or a positive number in the file.
  2. Import the file so the products exist.
  3. Then, in Shopify admin, enable 'Continue selling when out of stock' per variant if you genuinely oversell.
  4. Re-sync stock from your source system.

How to avoid it next time

Never import negative numbers. Overselling is a setting on an existing product, not a column value.
