Shopify: Unrecognized column in your CSV

The header row contains a column name Shopify does not know. This usually happens when a supplier template was used instead of Shopify's own export.

How to fix it

  1. Export one product from Shopify to get the canonical header.
  2. Compare your header with that export, column by column.
  3. Rename the unknown columns to Shopify's exact names, or delete them.
  4. Keep only columns you actually need; extras are ignored but they hide errors.

How to avoid it next time

Always start from a Shopify export, not from a supplier sheet.
