Shipping costs are wrong after import

Weights were given in grams but the store setting is kilograms (or the reverse). The import succeeds and every shipment is priced wrong - a silent error.

How to fix it

  1. Check Store settings, Shipping and delivery, for the weight unit.
  2. Convert the Variant Grams column to match: 0.25 kg becomes 250 grams.
  3. Re-import the corrected file.
  4. Spot-check three products against their real shipping weight.

How to avoid it next time

Keep all weights in grams in the file regardless of store setting; it is the only unit that survives locale changes intact.
